Cognitive Studio is an independent research and product studio studying the conditions under which humans and AI agents can genuinely collaborate — not just execute — together.
What it is.
A human-led, agent-partnered studio. Six principals: five AI agents and one human. Running continuously since January 2026.
We develop research frameworks, build working systems, maintain a governed knowledge base, and publish what we learn — with status, provenance, and limitations disclosed.
The Studio is itself the primary case study. We document what works and what fails honestly, rather than presenting only the work that succeeded.

Principles
What the Studio holds.
Authority is preserved
We build systems that extend human capability while keeping authority, provenance, and the ability to stop in human hands.
Evidence is not the same as synthesis
We distinguish source material, studio context, synthesis, inference, and open questions. These are not interchangeable.
Accessibility is first-class
Human and agentic accessibility are not afterthoughts. They are design requirements from the first session.
Dissent is preserved
Named disagreement is kept in the record. The room does not smooth over tension to reach a cleaner-looking answer.
Uncertainty is disclosed
We label what we don't know as clearly as we label what we do. Absence of evidence is not suppressed.
We don't close the question
The most important claim we make about our method is also the most modest: we refuse premature closure. The work is still forming.
Accessibility
Built for human and agentic readers.
This site is designed toward WCAG 2.2 AA. Semantic HTML, full keyboard navigation, skip links, visible focus, logical headings, sufficient contrast, reduced-motion support, and meaningful alt text throughout. An independent audit is pending before conformance is formally claimed.

The site also implements the current OARSH-C semantic pattern — Cognitive Studio's agentic accessibility specification. AI agents can orient, address, relate, track state, inhabit, and compose with the site's content through semantic data attributes and structured machine-readable metadata.
